Experience & interest in HE, computerized vehicle diagnosis, engine management (E), must have basic computer skills (D), b) Candidate must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair or maintain electrical components( starters, alternators, have knowledge on battery care), strong communications skills, able to work effectively in a team, strong sense of work ethics
Key Duties / Responsibilities
a) Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, Immobilizer and air conditioning;
b) Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors in vehicles; install electrically operated accessories
c) Diagnose & trouble shoot electrical fault of the plant & equipment; test, recondition and replace faulty alternators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries;
d) Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches;
e) Prioritize and plan for vehicles repairs and maintenance;
f) Conduct safety checks and inspections as required and maintain records.; follow and implement Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) policy;
g) Respond to emergencies, breakdowns as required.
h) Able to read and understand electrical drawing from service manuals;
i) Keep all relevant tools and equipment in good order available at all time to perform the task;
j) Prepares materials / parts requisition slip & work done report;
k) Reports to Workshop Supervisor/ Plant Manager immediately when any abnormalities noticed on the equipment;
l) Any other work related duty as assigned from time to time.
